Pinnacle Launches Venture Capital Fund to Back Saudi Growth Companies

Saudi Arabia-based investment firm Pinnacle has launched a new venture capital fund aimed at backing growth-stage companies in the Kingdom. The fund will invest through both primary funding rounds and secondary transactions, giving it a dual approach that supports fresh company growth while also creating liquidity for existing investors looking to exit.

Pinnacle, part of the Watar Partners network of firms, is targeting four key sectors: fintech, e-commerce, health and lifestyle, and urban-focused businesses spanning real estate, housing, and mobility. Each sector reflects strong local demand, from the shift toward digital banking to rising interest in preventative healthcare and Riyadh’s rapid urban expansion.

The launch comes at a pivotal moment for Saudi Arabia’s venture capital ecosystem. As the Kingdom’s startup landscape matures, a growing number of companies have reached profitability and scale, yet access to growth capital and exit opportunities has lagged behind more developed markets. Pinnacle says its fund is designed to directly address this gap.

By combining growth capital with secondary market activity, Pinnacle aims to strengthen liquidity across Saudi Arabia’s venture ecosystem, offering founders more runway and giving early investors a clearer path to returns.
