Moreover, Mubadala Investment Company has partnered with Together AI to explore AI infrastructure opportunities in the UAE. As part of the partnership, Together AI will establish a local presence in Abu Dhabi. This brings its AI computing, research, and inference capabilities closer to developers and businesses across the region.
Together AI was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in San Francisco. Additionally, it provides infrastructure and tools for building and running applications with open-source and custom AI models. Its platform includes AI inference, model development and accelerated computing capabilities.
The partnership will focus on identifying opportunities to support the development and deployment of AI in the UAE. It also supports Abu Dhabi’s broader efforts to strengthen local technical expertise and build capabilities across the AI value chain.
The collaboration follows Mubadala’s participation in Together AI’s $100 million Series C financing round announced in July 2026. The latest partnership builds on that investment. It creates a closer connection between Together AI and the UAE’s growing technology ecosystem.
Ali Eid AlMheiri, Executive Director of Diversified Assets at Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform, said the partnership will help strengthen the AI ecosystem and expand access to infrastructure. Together AI founder and CEO Vipul Ved Prakash said demand for open-source AI is increasing faster than available computing capacity, highlighting the importance of expanding AI infrastructure.
The Abu Dhabi office will give Together AI a local base as it explores opportunities across the UAE and wider region. The announcement, however, does not confirm a specific data centre, local computing capacity or launch timeline.
