Snoonu has officially launched its operations in Kuwait, marking a significant step in its regional expansion strategy and reinforcing its ambition to become a leading super app across the Gulf. The Qatar-born platform began operations on April 30 with a phased rollout designed to integrate seamlessly into the local market while building a strong operational foundation.
The initial phase introduces services including e-commerce, courier delivery, and home solutions such as car washing and maintenance, alongside gifting and flower delivery. In the following stage, the platform will expand to include restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies, gradually evolving into a comprehensive daily-use application tailored to consumer needs.
A key element of Snoonu’s Kuwait strategy is its investment in local presence. The company has already onboarded 180 employees in the country and appointed Bader Al-Ajeel to lead its operations. This approach reflects a deliberate effort to combine regional expertise with local leadership, enabling the company to better navigate market dynamics and cultural nuances.
Founder Hamad Mubarak Al Hajri has positioned the expansion as a long-term partnership with the Kuwaiti market, emphasizing trust, collaboration, and shared value creation. As competition in the GCC’s super app ecosystem intensifies, Snoonu’s localized and phased strategy could play a crucial role in differentiating its offering and sustaining growth beyond its home market.
