Syrian Healthtech Startup Moadna Raises $50,000 in Early-Stage Funding

Syrian healthtech startup Moadna has secured $50,000 in early-stage funding from angel investors, reaching a valuation of $300,000 and strengthening its position within the country’s growing digital healthcare sector.

Founded by Tarek Skheta and Maged Hamdeh, the company has developed a technology platform designed to simplify healthcare administration for clinics, medical centers, and independent practitioners. The solution enables providers to manage appointments, patient records, billing, revenues, expenses, and communication through a centralized system.

Moadna has experienced rapid adoption across Syria, currently serving more than 550 healthcare providers and supporting a user community of over 8,000 individuals. The platform has already facilitated thousands of appointment bookings, demonstrating increasing demand for digital healthcare services in the market.

The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate product development, enhance platform performance, and strengthen the company’s technical infrastructure. Moadna also plans to expand its commercial activities and prepare for a future pre-seed funding round.

The investment comes as healthcare technology continues gaining momentum across emerging markets, where digital tools are helping providers improve efficiency and patient engagement. By addressing operational challenges faced by clinics and healthcare organizations, Moadna is contributing to the modernization of healthcare delivery in Syria.

As the company advances into its next growth phase, leadership aims to broaden its impact, introduce additional capabilities, and build a stronger foundation for future expansion opportunities within the region.
