Funding and Support for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched the second phase of its national entrepreneurship initiative, opening new opportunities for young innovators and startup founders across the country. The program aims to support more than 2,000 young men and women from governorates nationwide through a combination of funding, incubation, mentorship, and technical assistance.
Selected projects will be eligible to receive financial and technical support worth up to EGP 200,000 (approximately USD 4,000) during the incubation period. The initiative is designed to help entrepreneurs transform innovative ideas into viable businesses capable of competing in local and regional markets.
Building Stronger Startups
Beyond funding, participants will gain access to specialized training, business development guidance, and technical expertise. The program focuses on helping founders refine their business models, strengthen operational capabilities, and prepare their ventures for long-term growth.
Applications submitted to the initiative will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process, with the most promising projects selected to receive support and incubation services.
Expanding Egypt’s Innovation Ecosystem
The latest phase builds on the success of the program’s first edition. Recently, a judging committee convened at the Youth Innovation & Education Center in Gezira to select the top 10 startups from the initiative’s inaugural cohort. These winning ventures will receive funding, logistical support, and an incubation program lasting up to nine months.i
By combining financial resources with structured mentorship and development programs, the initiative aims to strengthen Egypt’s startup ecosystem, encourage youth entrepreneurship, and create new pathways for innovative ideas to reach the market. The program also supports the country’s broader vision of fostering a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and enterpris.
