WiserGates, a wealth fin-tech company founded by Bangladeshi entrepreneurs Muhammad Refayet Chowdhury and Md Nazibur Rahman, has launched a $3 million pre-seed funding round at a $30 million valuation. Registered with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the company is backed by Tokyo-based NewVision Japan and London-based 1CS Holdings.
The funding will support product development, regulatory compliance, market expansion, hiring and partnerships.
WiserGates is developing NANO Assets, a platform designed to let investors buy fractional, tokenised ownership in profitable small and medium-sized businesses, including restaurants, farms, laundries and gyms. Investors may receive a share of profits or benefit from capital gains, depending on each investment’s performance and terms.
The company plans to launch in the UAE and UK within 12 to 18 months. It also aims to enter Bangladesh within two to three years, subject to suitable regulations.
WiserGates says it has invested more than $2 million across over 10 companies and other asset classes in the past five years. Its long-term vision includes helping Bangladeshis living abroad invest in businesses in their home country.
